My Four Reasons

Earlier, I posted a video a friend sent, putting the blame of the financial meltdown squarely on the shoulders of Barack Obama. The video seemed well-researched. And, since it wasn't some hysterical ranting on how Barack Obama is BFF with Osama bin Laden, I watched it. And, I posted it, lest we forget that there are at least two sides to an issue. Then, I sent him the link to Keating Economics - a website that takes a decidedly different viewpoint - equally well-researched. Later, I sent a second reply. And, since my friend was kind enough to send me something logical and well-reasoned, I thought that I owed him a logical and well-reasoned explanation as to why I think Barack Obama is the best choice as America's 44th president. BACKGROUND The world is a changing place. The third world countries have awakened and are looking to take their rightful place at the table of mankind. It's no longer going to be a place where the "white men rule". We are going to see the involvement of people of different races, different colors, different languages, different ways to express themselves. An American president that is bi-cultural - African AND American - one who has seen the different sides of society, been with people of different countries, different backgrounds, different colors, different religions - is who it is going to take to lead us into the 21st Century. EDUCATION The reputation of the United States has been severely damaged as a result of the Afghan and Iran Wars. We need someone with a background in International Relations. Obama has a degree in political science with a specialization in International Relations. He received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) magna cum laude from Harvard. He has a sharp political mind and the educational background. American needs someone like that to lead us - now, more than ever. SPIRIT With his credentials, Obama could have chosen to be a well-paid, well-connected attorney with any top notch law firm. He chose community organization and politics with where to leave his mark. That has to tell you something. MOTIVATIONAL SKILLS America needs someone who can remind us what it is to be "an American". America needs someone who can lead and motivate all of us. Anyone who has seen will.i.am's video "Yes We Can" has seen those skills in Barack Obama. That's why I'm voting for Barack Obama.

I'm not really an "emotional type", but listening to "Yes, We Can.", makes me almost wanna cry.
