Firefly - Disk 4
Mar. 30th, 2007 01:14 pmI started watching Disk 4 of the "Firefly" series and got to the episode, entitled "The Message", where the fellow soldier mails his body to Mel and Zoe.
Around the 40:00 mark, I said to myself, "How in the heck are they gonna manage to wrap this up in four-and-a-half minutes? There just ain't no way!" And, they did it!
One of the things that I've really enjoyed about "Firefly" is that you don't recognize any of the episodes as being from another show and "recycled". Everything seems to be fresh ideas, shot for the very first time.
If anyone out there likes science fiction, and hasn't gotten the chance to watch the "Firefly" series, I'd like to strongly recommend that you do so. It's really good stuff!
UPDATE: I just finished watching the final episode, entitled "Objects in Space". Unbelieveable. I especially loved Richard Brooks ("Law & Order" fame (1990-1993)) as bounty hunter "Jubal Early". Wow! What a great episode! What a great series!
