Life Hacks - 12-sided Dice

The place I work is filled with caffeine addicts. Not only do we have regular coffee, we also have two kinds of Starbucks coffee (House Blend & French Roast). Management decided that we were to stick a Post-It note on every pot brewed, so that we'd know when the coffee was made. I had a better idea. I stuck a 12-side die in front of every pot. You indicate the time the coffee was made, by turning the corresponding time face up on the die.

The first test was when the dayshift readily adopted the system and started using it. But, the real test came when the corporated headquarters went out and got their own 12-sided dice.

Our departing VP is a big coffee drinker, so I've ordered him a set of four 12-sided dice as part of a "Going Away" present.

But, let me warn you. Shipping and handling is costly. So you may want to get them somewhere else or place a larger order.

Hopefully either 1) you don't have people there on a 24-hour basis, or 2) nobody lets coffee brew for more than 12 hours.

Alternatively, you could use a 20-sided die (assuming nobody puts coffee on from 9PM-1AM), or you can use 24-sided dice (while rare, and probably expensive, they DO exist - I got one as a novelty items.)

I thought about all those variations. I could have used two 12-sided dice - say, yellow and black. Yellow would be for days, black for nights.

But, I realized that we have maybe 4 people working at night and they're more Mountain Dew drinkers than they are coffee drinkers. (The only real coffee drinker would be me.) So, a second set really isn't necessary.
