I "run". I go to the nearby Gold's Gym, step onto an elliptical crosstrainer and "run". I was getting into the habit of running three times every seven days, but stopped for a few weeks because of a heel injury; to take a vacation; and because of some changes to my schedule at home.

I used to document each and every "run", but I've missed the last two visits. For the first part of the year, I never "told" the crosstrainer my age and weight, so it tallied up the "Calories Spent" at a far slower rate.

In keeping with the new month, I'm restarting the chart fresh. The incline is set at "10" and the resistance is set at "5". And, I will be telling the crosstrainer my age and weight to get an accurate "Calories Spent" total.

My short term goal is to burn 1,000 calories in 60 minutes. That will mean that I'll need to do nearly 9000 strides in an hour, at an average rate of 150 strides per minute.

My overall goal is to go to the gym at least three times in any seven day span, and to run for at least 2,500 calories during those seven days. On days I work, I'll only "run" for thirty minutes; while on days I'm off, I'll "run" for a full hour.

In addition to all that "running", I will also exercise on three different machines per visit. On one visit, I'll work on my torso. On the next, I'll do three pushing exercises and on the third, I'll do three different pulling exercises.
