Jeans Repair - Part III

I got ambitious and brought all my parts together in one spot. The thin brass washers aren't much larger than the tack. They should have no effect.

It looks to me that just installing a new jeans fastener is not an answer. The fastener will just pull out. There's nothing to grab. There's a "buttonhole" there where there was just a "pinhole", and that "buttonhole" will need to get patched.

It's back to the drawing board, I'm afraid.

Jeans Repair - Part II

The jeans fasteners came. Four packs of eight fasteners each. Should have enough for the rest of my life.

Why so many? Hate paying two bucks for something, then having to shell out six bucks shipping and handling.

Took a look at the fasteners. Hmmm. Pretty much look the same as the original. Same small tack back end and all. I may mosey on down to the local ACE Hardware in the morning and take a look at their... um... hardware. See if I can find a thin washer of the right size. Or, at least get another idea.

Oh, and last night, had a thought on that washer idea. It should have some short teeth. Mebbe. I should check a notions department. The idea said to check on small snaps for some strange reason.
