August 24, 1992 I was at the post office. I had just gotten the mail out of my PO BOX, and saw that I had gotten a letter from Woody. I was in my car reading the letter and had read to the point where Woody said that he lived in South Florida. The newscaster came on the radio and announced that Hurricane Andrew had made landfall in Homestead, Florida, just to the south of Miami. Sixteen years ago, today.
