|My sister and I were reminiscing one day about our parents. We were commenting on how they "ruled the roost" with an iron hand. |
Seriously. When they said something, that was it. There was no appeal.
We're envious. We wish we had that power over our respective loved ones. But, our lives are all about "cat herding".
We lay "down the law", and our loved ones might as well be licking their paws and walking away.
Of all the things our parents taught us, why couldn't they have taught us THIS?
